A definite step up from the local sporting goods store barbell. Spins a little but it is really out of round, but this is an overseas product so my expectations were not high. Arrived with a high speed blowout in the package so the end of the bar was chipped.

The product is great. However customer service has been a nightmare to deal with. I actually decided to give up trying to have someone help me. It was causing me much stress.

Been using it three weeks now with my trainer. Packaging seemed kind of amateurish, substantial and effective though - so no problem -- bar arrived in good condition. We like the snap/clink sound when I do power lifts. I do more low weight high reps so the "medium" knurl is ok, but I'm used to less knurl. My trainer, who himself uses heavier weights says the knurl is fine. The 30mm bar (vs. 28 mm) is no problem at all. Trainer says the chrome bar is more "slippery" than his own old bar, and so for safety, he puts collars on even when we're doing light weight stuff with 5-lb weights (high reps, or push/press exercises). Dual knurl marks very helpful for wide-grip/narrow-grip exercises The bar weighs (on bath scale) about 43 lbs. The bar's at my trainer's house, and at night when he's training alone in subdued lighting, he says he likes how the chrome bar is easier to work with/see vs. his black bar. Trainer has worked at several gyms (me only a customer of one), has used many gym bars and benches for power/strength/endurance training. No experience with the primo bars $250 and up, so he can't offer an opinion on how much better they might be. For me though, for my fitness needs, and given the specs on this one and the price...I couldn't resist. Really happy with the bar and Titan.

This is the best bar at this price I've seen. The bar arrived in perfect condition and was oiled nicely for protection. It feels sturdy and the knurling is exceptional, as my other cheap 300 lb limit bar bends noticably and the knurling painted over (negates the grip). If I'm squaring over 700, I won't hesitate to purchase from Titan again. Thanks to the Titan Team! I'm lovin' this bar!
