The end caps were definitely not welded, but plastic caps that did not fit properly, but a little trimming fixed that. Paint was missing but a light scuff and some black spray paint was good enough, and the pin was bent. Bought an eye hook at home depot for 45 cents to replace it.
Works as intended and allows me to do movements I would need additional equipment for otherwise.”
