“I got the short axle bar as a scratch and dent item. There were a couple barely noticeable dings on it, but nothing major. I've used it for a variety of lifts and accessory movements to build my forearms. It significantly improved my grip strength to the point where I no longer need to use a mixed grip on heavy deadlifts. It is light and compact so you can easily throw it in the car and bring it wherever you want to work out. The price was great ($32 when I bought it).
The negatives: The bar is closer to 15 lbs than the 23 lbs in the description. Not a huge difference, but it doesn't have a ton of loadable space on the sleeves, so weight is at a premium. Regular olympic collars do not fit it, but I found that Titan spring clips will. I wish it had caps or plugs on the ends because it makes an annoying hollow clang sound and the ends can be a little rough. The welds at the collars look somewhat ragged, but it's a basically a big pipe, so aesthetics aren't a big deal. At the price Titan has it, especially the scratch and dent price, none of these flaws should deter you.”
