“My new fiancee absolutely loves her new ring. I purchased my own stone (.58ct), sent it in, and had them set it for me. Due to the nature of the setting, everyone thinks the stone is much bigger than it actually is. She constantly gets compliments on how beautiful and unique the ring is.
There are two negatives. One, because it has such large flat surfaces, it shows very small scratches easily. But as someone said before, they are easy to buff out at the jeweler or even at home. Second, the profile of the ring is moderately thick. Meaning when you put it on, and you put your fingers together, the ring is so thick that its mildly annoying (to me). My fiancee says it doesn't bother her one bit, and after only a couple weeks she doesn't even notice it. So these are the only very minor negative issues in an otherwise amazing ring.
I looked for a setting like this for months, and decided on this one because of the perfect geometric shape, beautiful shiny finish (shiny is much better, similar to a slightly darker white gold. Matte isn't nearly as attractive in my opinion, although it would hide scratches better), and moderately low cost. You can't go wrong with this ring, the the people at TJ/Yates&Co were awesome to deal with!!!”

Has held up well, a few small scratches but nothing that my local jeweler couldn't polish out in a few minutes. Oh, the diamond is .50ct size and VERY FLASHY for it's size.”
