“I picked out this ring for my wedding ring & was initially impressed by the heavy, solid feel and mirror polish. I also found it very comfortable to wear & never take it off, quite impressive I think since I have never worn a ring before. However, this week, after only wearing the ring for one month, I discovered by accident that Triton's durability claims are highly exaggerated. I was sanding a cabinet in my workshop & at the end of the day saw to my horror that my ring was covered in myriads of swirling gouges & scratches. I related this to my cousin who is a machinist and he verified that while tungsten carbide is tough there are many metals that he works with that will erode it and it is certainly not scratch-proof. He suggested going over the ring with 800 & finer sandpaper. I followed his advice & removed all but the worst gouges & restored the finish very close to original. Despite this untruth in advertising the ring is comfortable & tough enough for the average guy to wear everyday without damage. Just wish companies were held responsible for their advertising claims, maybe then we would see truth in advertising.”
“My wife purchased this ring for my wedding band and I was initially impressed with the comfortable fit, as well as the high polish and distinctive look. However after wearing for one month it is scratched terribly, and I do not work with diamond abrasives. As best I can tell the scratching is from hand sanding in my wood shop from the folded pieces of sandpaper brushing against the ring. It may be scratch resistant under daily use but don't do any work with it on, otherwise instead of "Forever Polished" you will have forever scratched.”
“Awesome ring! Very durable, heavy and stylish! Extremely satisfied! I had purchased a Tungsten Carbide ring which looked similar for a much lower price, but after wearing for a few short days my finger broke out and I quickly realized you truly get what you pay for!”
