“I originally ordered one size too large, the exchange process was super easy, and the correct size is incredible. There is a little bit of extra cloth in my underarm area, but that's probably just my body and not the bra itself. All around super comfortable, would put it up there with the maternity bras I accidentally bought once thinking they were just bralettes. But this bra is definitely more stylish then those (haha)”
“According to the sizing chart, I was in between M & L sizes for the bust measurement and fell into L for the underbust measurement. I contacted customer service to get their advice and they said I should go with the M size since the fabric is stretchy, it would still fit fine. I lounged in the bra for an hour or so when it arrived to see if it was a good fit for me without sweating in it in case I wanted to return it. My main test is to see if a mark from the underbust band appears in my skin or not. No mark/indents were made in my skin, however, when I wore it out and about for a whole day and took it off, there they were. In hindsight, I wish the advice I received from Tomboyx was actually to purchase both sizes and return the one that didn't fit best. Even if I had to pay for return shipping, this would have been a better option for me. It's not so tight that it's unwearable, but it's definitely better for short workouts and short wearing times so it doesn't start to feel tight around my ribs by the end of the day. I definitely recommend trying both sizes if you're in between and requesting a return for the one that doesn't fit as well since Tomboyx's return process is easy.”
Hi Eliza-
We will definitely accept your return since we made a recommendation and that didn't work for you. We pay for return shipping entirely, so don't worry about that. If you start a return, send us an email at help@tomboyx.com letting us know how the bra worked for you and we will accept your return and issue an exchange in another size or a refund.
“recently I’ve had to stop binding for health reasons after 5 years, and I had no idea where to start. Tomboyx’s measurement guide was super easy to navigate, and I went a size up for comfort but I ended up not fitting it! They quickly and easily had me return it and shipped out the new one immediately. This is the SOFTEST, most comfortable bra I’ve ever worn, and the website is perfect for gender non conforming people♥️♥️”
“I'm a larger man that has body confidence issues and wearing the essential soft bra makes me feel more confident on a daily basis. I was always self conscious about the amount of motion the top half of my body made, and no other solution seemed to work well. It's super awkward trying to shop for the "female" bras in big box stores, and even when I worked up the courage they were either not the right size or a little too feminine for my tastes. Tomboyx products may be a little expensive, but the designs are super cute and universally genderless, extremely soft, and they offer them in a size made for me. After pay is also a super awesome feature of the site and it shows how much the company cares to help people get the products they want. Thanks for being awesome y'all!”
“I put this on as soon as I got home and opened the package. That was nearly 24 hours ago and I'm still wearing it. I don't normally wear a bra at all, so this is pretty amazing and I would highly recommend this bra to anyone. My large C cups feel very supported and also still fairly andro! Will absolutely be ordering again soon!”
“Seriously. I'm not exaggerating. Hear me out.
As a trans person who prefers a masculine aesthetic, but doesn't like wearing binders, sports bras have always been my go to. However, there are still problems with sports bras like digging straps and sometimes being difficult to put on. I always found myself settling for the best of anything that was even okay. I haven't liked a bra in a really long time and I've built up a lot of resentment for anything related to bra shopping. I'm a 32DD/DDD in traditional bras, but how my breasts sit make it oddly difficult to find the right fit.
Enter TomboyX. I was mostly pulled in by the variety of styles, designs, and lack of gendering on their products and website. After wading through a LOT of reviews and debating with myself for a while, I had to try this bra. The shipping was super fast, which was nice because I was super excited for it. The fabric is amazingly soft, especially the band, so they definitely deliver on that one. I was in love immediately after putting it on. The fabric is sturdy and provides support without feeling compressed or tight. Where most bras feel like the straps provide most of the support and dig in because of it, this bra feels like it was actually designed to support your entire body, not just let the straps do the work.
The first day I got it, I wore it for nearly SIXTEEN HOURS STRAIGHT. Yes, it is THAT comfortable. You'll put it on and forget it's there, all while feeling supported and comfortable, I guarantee it. After taking it off, I have minimal red marks and no evidence of any intense digging. It's easy to get on and off, and doesn't feel like I'm stretching the life out of it every time I put it on. This is all not mentioning that the colors of the band are just as bold and bright as promised.
If you think it's too expensive, I urge you to consider that TomboyX is not fast fashion and pays their workers a living wage, so it's worth every penny to support them and their ethical business practices.
tl;dr: This bra is absolutely amazing, you will not regret buying it. Do yourself and your boobs a favor and do it.”
“I am 5'5, 27.5" band, 34.5" around the fullest part of my bust, and I have somewhat broad shoulders from boxing. I stopped wearing bras awhile ago because having that much cleavage makes me dysphoric (I'm nonbinary), but I usually stuck to 32DDDs since 28Gs are impossible to find. I'm a medium in Calvin Klein bralettes, though the bust of those is a little small and the band is a little big for me. With every bralette on the face of the earth, I experience the issue of not being able to find a size with a small enough band and a large enough bust to actually fit me (if you're a similar size, never go to Urban Outfitters). I went by bust size like TomboyX sizing recommends and initially purchased a size S, which fit me fine, but didn't flatten me much and tended to ride up because the band was too big. I figured I might as well try an XS, though I had minimal hopes since I figured the bust would be too tight...and success! The XS could still fit better in the band, but it flattens me better and I don't have to continually pull it down. I do find the straps to be a little wide (they tend to wrinkle), but these are so comfortable I forget I'm wearing them, aren't at all restrictive like a binder, and come in really cool prints. I have tried the racerback but found that it did less in terms of flattening my chest.”
