“I purchased this pair of boardshorts after ordering the 7" board shorts in the Island Shade print last year. The Island Shade shorts are PERFECT. Absolutely PERFECT.
However, I missed that these "Under the Surface" prints are slightly different, even though they show up on the same page as the Island Shade as an alternative print style. These "Under the Surface" shorts have a thinner-feeling material than the other shorts and a velcro front closure. The fit is not as great as the "Island Shade" print and the material feels cheaper, as well.
Additionally, I had to order a size up in this print compared to the other print.
Looking back at the website now, I can see there is a difference in the design/make of the two pairs, but since that is the case, they should not be featured together as "alternate print options" when they are different shorts.”
