“I bought these because I was looking for an autism-sensory friendly/ good texture of underwear for monthly cycles. I’d been having sensory problems with pads/tampons/cups/combinations of the above, and started looking into period underwear. Thinx, while popular, doesn’t have a breathable cotton based fabric like these do! And those aren’t really gender-affirming, like boxer-brief shorts are... I bought my first pair of tomboyX leakproof boxer briefs last month, and found that having one pair leaves me without a pair to wear while washing! So I bought this second pair, and I’m so so happy with both of them! I use them in combination with some liners (I can use a pad too, if necessary, but I find they feel kinda bulky and uncomfy) and tend to check up every few hours. “Leakproof: I was excited to see “period panties” that came in these styles and were cotton! What I didn’t realize is that a pad is essentially built into these. I guess I expected the panties themselves to soak everything up lol. The built in pad technology is pretty cool and it doesn’t add any bulk to your crotch if you’re worried about that. Definitely read the description because these are meant to soak lighter period days or other small portions of fluid. They don’t soak up everything, if you’re sweaty, the sweat will be visible on the thigh portion of the fabric. But! They do absorb any embarrassing smells which is more important to me than soaking up and absorbing all of my fluids haha.
Comfort:Overall they are comfy af! The “pad” is really comfortable and such a nice change from itchy uncomfortable pads/panty liners. I don’t have to think about changing panty liners or weird smells anymore :)
Sizing: I normally wear a size 24 in pants and I definitely trust the size chart on this site and reviews! I ordered a 4X in other undies I bought and I ordered a 4X in these leakproof ones. They fit perfect! I only wish they wear more high waisted but I expect that from my French cut girly panties not these :)”
