“You have to try the lamb as you can taste the difference to what you will buy from your local butchers. Also knowing that there are no hormones or antibiotics used can only be good for us, as they say ‘you are what you eat’. Definitely give them a try and you will not be disappointed.”

“Cannot recommend enough! My new “meat shop” from now on! This was my first time ever ordering meat online so was extremely apprehensive. I had heard such good things though, so I did want to give Saffron Alley a chance. I can certainly say I was not disappointed. It was everything as advertised. My parcel came in a temperature controlled container. I was expecting that when I opened the box I would get a waft like in a butchers shop (I hate that) but honestly, I was so surprised , there was no smell at all. Considering the contents of my order (chicken thighs and drums, whole rib rack, lamb shoulder, lamb chops) I was really expecting a meat shop smell. At this point I was already sold, because I knew this meant my meat was prepared cleanly and packed perfectly. The packaging was the other thing. The way everything was individual and not mixed up or gory looking (I really don’t like to handle meat, can you tell) made it appealing and o didn’t mind handling and touching and putting things away. I move onto the cooking now…… so…… once again, really surprised that when I cut open the chicken bags there was no weird chicken smell! I stuck my head right in and nothing. The plumpness of the chicken and the colour and feel, all perfect. Once cooked, I thought it would shrink significantly as it always does but seriously this meat stayed the same. The difference is totally real. I don’t think I could ever go back to supermarket or butcher meat after this. After eating one thigh I felt nourished and full (so bizarre because I usually manage 2-3, don’t judge) so I knew the quality must be on another level because my body already got what it needed from one piece! I didn’t need more than that. Excellent taste aswell. We have got through most of our order and 100% this is now my “meat shop”. I’ve already boasted to all my friends in person and on social.”

“What's not to love? Found this company after looking for a better priced online supplier that delivered. Really delicious mince, even my teenage son commented on it. Order arrived in a timely manner and was well packed. Found the packaging on the kilo packs ideal. No more having to decant 500g loads into separate bags. Just slice the bag in half and freeze. What's not to love? Well done Saffron Alley!”
