Easily the best investment for the Jeep you could make, and for your back. I love that I can do this by myself with very little effort. Worth every penny.

I received the Top Lift Pro and was amazed at the weight of the boxes. It is definitely made of sturdy materials and I'm really happy with the finish quality. There was no manual or instructions in the box, so I had to revert to the online setup video which was poorly done -- hard to follow and not always clear or helpful. I struggled through and got everything assembled and the result is fantastic. I think we are really going to love using it.

As a single female Jeep owner, I needed a solution to remove my hardtop for the summer months and replace it in the winter. I was hesitant to make such a spendy purchase on something I will only use 2 times a year, but I am glad I did! I can tell a lot of thought, work and quality materials went into this product and it is definitely worth the cost. I was even able to assemble it all by myself in a little over 3 hours. I went with the standard TLP and find that I struggle to try to push the lever down to lift the top. I am 5'2" and 105 lbs. so I don't have enough leverage unless I push my entire body weight onto the lever. I ended up springing for the power control which I am hoping will make all the difference. I knew I should have gone with the power option when I purchased it, but I learned my lesson. I can't wait to swap in the power control and be riding in style this summer!

So honestly, I'd probably give this top lift pro a 4.5 stars. I can't pick a half star, so I bumped it up to 5. My complaints are minor in all honesty. The good: The lift is solid. It feels a little shaky at first, but you soon realize the top isn't going anywhere. The casters are great, go over quite a bit and feel solid. It does make it possible to lift the top by yourself. Although it is heavy, don't let anyone fool you, you'll be using your weight to lift it up. But once up, you can then wheel it back and I love I can stash the top anywhere I want. Its perfect for me as I'm by myself and am not able to remotely lift the top even with help. The annoying: One, it really drove me nuts that instructions didn't come with the unit. I get you can go to the website, but here's the problem...not everyone has a printer at home. The videos were sort of helpful, but don't really get into the specific nuts and bolts (literally) on what to use where. I had to wait several days to go into the office so I could print out the instructions. And two...although its well designed, its not really meant for one person to put together. A good portion of it, you can do it by yourself. But putting the base together and the end adjustments really need two people to do it well. I think with a few small design changes, you probalby could get it down to one person. Overall...its worth the money. I feel like my top is secure and I can easily pull it off by myself.

I'm mechanically stupid. If you're like me, you have nothing to worry about with the assembly. I followed along with a YouTube assembly video, and my wife and I were able to put the lift together in a single evening. As for the lift itself, it is very easy to do all of the steps on my own, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The cart makes life easy when it comes to getting the vehicle in position, and getting the top to its storage location. I don't think the power attachment was necessary at all, and I'm considering coming back in the future to buy the door storage racks. The only negative I can think of is the price of the lift, but I know I could easily recoup the cost in the future if I sell my 4xe Sahara (which I have no intention of doing!)

Great idea, great concept but completely unaffordable. $400, I'd buy all day but nearly $1,000....neh.

Top Lift Pros earns a 5 star excellent rating for both the quality of their lift and their customer service support. Early this year my daughter purchased a new 4 door hard top Wrangler and the Top Lift Pro Hard Top Removal Hoist for removing and reinstalling the hard top. As I am putting the lift together I get more and more stressed that I am going to screw this up and end up dropping a very expensive top. With that, at key points in putting the lift together, I am either calling or sending multiple e-mails with multiple pictures to the customer service support group to confirm I am putting it together properly. Every call or e-mail was handled as if it was my first question and were promptly replied to with clear guidance. Finally the weather breaks in NY and we use the lift for the first time. The Top Lift Pro Hard Top Removal Hoist works as well in real life as it does in the sales video. It is a very well constructed unit and very easy to use. That alone prompts a 5 star rating! And the guys in the customer service support group - they exuded the type of customer service that any company would be proud of. Thorough product knowledge and exemplary patience. Their goal is that I am thoroughly satisfied with the purchase - which I certainly am. They also get a 5 star rating!
