I bought this printer about 5 months ago, much better than Makerbot. The quality of the print is excellent, both in terms of surface finish and tolerances. Great software. Even better support team. They sent spare parts for free to fix up the issue I was having with the extruder. It didn't print quite how I wanted right out of the box, so had to make some adjustments to the bed and the print settings, and now for the most part it does very well. If I had to get another large-format 3D printer, I think I'd still get Raise3D.

Advantages: 1. The printer is massive. 2. Huge variety of materials: from ABS to Nylon to PC. ABS and ABS/PC are my go-to because they are easier to process. 3. Capable of printing with TPU. My last Ultimaker had a huge problem with these. 4. Dual extrusion, I rarely use it, but when I do, it really helps, PVA supports save us a ton of time. 5. Responsive support. Their support team is very responsive and gets down to the root of the issue. I can rate them highly and the Raise Academy is of great help, too. Disadvantages: 6. I was a bit disappointed by the absence of a BL-Touch sensor. Autolevelling could have certainly come in handy, the same way it works on our Raise3D E2. I used to hate it, but anyway, it has stayed level for the last 6 months without issue, so for now, this is not something I cannot downrate on, yet I still put it as a disadvanage since I find it to be of use. Conclusion: It's probably not for all users. It's definitely priced higher than average, but you get reliable results, so it is totally worth it. It's so much worse to miss a customer's deadline and lose the order AND your reputation than to spend slighly more on a quality machine.

I'm an experienced mechanical engineer and I appreciate good design. Raise3d has created an excellent machine with Pro2 Plus: the Bondtech extruder is reliable and powerful, the bed is stable, UX is great (both on the hardware front and IdeaMaker is awesome, too), optical limit switches, the filament runout sensor. I wish the machine would have also had a built-in BL Touch as well as a heated chamber as this would certainly help making more reliable large-scale parts with ABS.

Works right out of the box, didn't even need to level the bed. Everything just works. Awesome!

Bought this device recently and so far the quality is great. High accuracy, smooth surfaces, great results with printing ABS and PLA. Had some problems with a filament runout sensor (they replaced it under warranty) but other than that everything is great. Awesome solution for producing large and precise parts.

I like how big the Pro2 Plus is and the wide range of materials it supports. I mostly work with ABS since it's easier to deal with and is moderately heat-resistant. Dual print head has also been of huge help for projects where dissolving supports in water saved us a lot of time in post-processing. My main complaint is manual bed leveling, I'd really prefer to have an automatic option, especially at this price, but at the same time I realize the probe only acts as a guide for deviations and we would still need to make all the adjustments ourselves. Otherwise it's a solid device that is easy to work with (the presets already provide great results), it offers amazing quality of printing, supports many materials and has a large build volume. It's very reliable, which is important for our 3d printing business as many clients set tight deadlines, so I can recommend it to other startups and workshops.

Impressive device with great build quality, design and gets the job done. Liked the software and connectivity features as well. It's also very quiet. Bed came level from the factory and I haven't touched it till around 6 months into 3D printing on this machine. I have some minor complaints though: After 14 months of use, the touch screen stopped working properly. My touch did not register the first time I was touching the screen, so I needed to touch it 2 or 3 times before it understood what to do. We then replaced the screen, and it returned to normal. Only 1kg spools fit within the filament side compartment. For our larger prints, we wanted to use 3kg spools, and so we had to design our own spool rack that stays above the printer and holds those bigger spools

Me and my company decided to purchase the Pro2 Plus as a cost-saving measure. We have been operating a more expensive industrial-grade device before this one, the results were great, but the cost of operating was becoming too extravagant. As the volume grew, we also found ourselves spending more and more on subcontractors, and ultimately decided to buy the same 3D printer as what they used. This printer provides comparable results to our Stratasys at a fraction of a cost, so it's used way more actively. Actually, we now have two of them. Some advice: 1. Check bed leveling before printing. I believe our box was dropped during delivery as there was visible damage. So I re-leveled the bed from the start. 2. Check Raise's 3D printing library of profiles. The Polymaker profiles worked way better than the default ones. 3. Consider adding a glass bed if you're making a lot of prints with Nylon. In our case, we felt that having a separate bed worked better. Overall, I'm happy with the device since it provides quality results and offers reliable day-to-day operation, we might be buying a third one if our operations scale to that level.
