The EinScan HX is an industrial-grade handheld Structured Light 3D scanner. It is a premium lightweight device with a futuristic and ergonomic design that can be easily taken anywhere. The device boasts incredible high-resolution scans, large scan volume, lightning-fast scan speed, and a handful of other useful features. It features an innovative hybrid system that employs dual blue LED lights allowing it to enter the rapid 3D scanning mode. Besides, there is a high-precision laser scanning mode designed to capture dark-colored models with intricate geometries and objects with a reflective surface. Thanks to its built-in color camera, the scanner supports full-color capture and allows for advanced texture tracking.

We own the Einscan Pro 2X Plus and recently added the Einscan HX to our fleet. Having used it for 6 months, I can say that this is one of the most user-friendly and versatile 3D scanners we've ever owned. We primarily use it to build a digital archive of parts at our factory, and it has coped really well, especially with the large parts and equipment. Smaller parts (< 10”) are not as easy to scan due to the scanner's large field of view, but we had success scanning smaller parts, too. We place them on a dark surface, so the scanner doesn't grab too much external noise, and then remove all the unnecessary details during post-processing. We also tried the color scanning mode and it works quite well, too.

Great scanner! Today we scanned the entire shell of the Camaro and the result is insanely well-detailed and accurate.

Great scanner that gets the job done. We scan car body parts, engine parts, exhausts, cylinder heads, etc. Over the last 3-4 years, we've spent more than $40,000 on 3D scanning services, but we weren't ready to pull the trigger on a Creaform as its price is so high. When this scanner came out and we learnt the price was only $12K, it was a no-brainer. We immediately purchased it and it delivers great results to this day. We're only using the laser scanning mode, the parts are accurate, scanning dark and metal surfaces is very manageable, and the references we get save us a ton of time when modeling the final part for our clients. The main downsides are 1. sticking markers on the object before every scan, but this is true for any laser scanner, 2. Geomagic Essentials is helpful with hole repairs and surfacing, but cannot be integrated directly into SW. We later purchased Quicksurface for SW and we like managing everything from one interface way more, 3. even though we're using laser, some areas that are heavily covered by shadows can still be hard to capture, we've managed to scan these better by covering the area from different angles, but to be honest these areas are usually quite narrow, so it's easier to fill them in when post-processing rather than wasting time on getting a perfect scan, 4. edges are not as perfect as we wish them to be, but we learnt how to manage them during post-processing.
