This is my first printer. I didn’t know what to choose between Prusa, Flashforge and Qidi X Max. I am pleased to report I don't have any regrets about this printer. Unpacking and installation took like 15 minutes? Prints are consistent and clean. The build volume is huge for larger prints. In addition to this, the support was exceptional. I love their customer support. Its adhesive sheets helped me to make reliable prints. I've been mostly printing with PLA, ABS and tried CF-Nylon. All prints turned out great despite very limited experience of 3D printing.

I had a case where the motherboard started to malfunction, QIDI's support was great, helping me to troubleshoot throughout that process and sent me a new motherboard as part of my warranty coverage. The motherboard was apparently damaged due to a series of failed prints that resulted in a cake of plastic forming on the outside of the extruder. This resulted in an electric short within the thermosister, which caused the temperature to start jumping from 0 to 800. The shipping of replacement parts from China was only 8 days (it took me 3 months with Creality). I highly recommend QIDI as they have one of the best support teams on the planet.

I bought this printer in March of 2020. Since arrival it has been running with no breaks, multiple day prints and so on. Every 3D printer requires regular maintenance and might have a few glitches from time to time, but overall this printer has been a beast. During this period, I've gone through 6 adhesion sheets, five nozzles and multiple teflon tubes (that's how intense our printing is), so if you're also using that machine for business, I suggest you get these spare parts from the start.

Great device, would buy the second one. Like two different extruders (a regular one and the one for high temperature plastics). They are easy to change and the machine provides great results. Pros: - 2 extruders that are easy to change - bed stickers offer great adhesion - enclosure for better ambient temperature control - excellent customer support - frequent software updates - getting spare parts takes 7-10 days which is unheard for a manufacturer based in China, Creality had me wait for 3-4 weeks Cons: - Minor problems with filament tubes - Would prefer having more advanced bed leveling

Been using the machine for more than a month and the impressions are great. It's quick, accurate and does everything a hobbyist (such as myself) would expect from a 3D printer. Pros -Large build volume -Smooth surface finishes -Very accurate -Sturdy build and rigid construction result in great quality of layers - Wifi connectivity is great to have - Works right out of the box Areas for improvement - I upgraded the cooling fan duct to the one I found at prusaprinters website, it provides a better air flow - I upgraded the filament spool holder to ensure the filament can be fed smoothly - The support team is based in China, so expect some time lag, but this is one of the best customer support teams in the industry, still very fast to respond and with great attention to detail

Qidi X-MAX is awesome, works right out of the box. Great built and it's very quiet, lower levels of noise than any of my other devices. Also satisfied with how the prints turn out.

Does a great job printing PLA, ABS, PETG, PC and carbon fiber. Had some problems with the older software but after upgrading everything was great.
