Calibry Mini is a professional and easy-to-use handheld Structured Light 3D scanner. Being a follow-up to the renowned Calibry scanner by Thor3D, the Mini has been designed for scanning small, intricate objects from 2 to 30 cm in length. This device boasts its incredible high-resolution scans, lightning-fast scan speed, and a handful of other useful features. It can successfully scan hair, dark, shiny, or casting metal surfaces with sharp edges. The Calibry Mini is a lightweight scanner that can easily be taken anywhere thanks to its ergonomic design. Good price for such a high-resolution device. We make facial prosthetics, take impressions of the person's ear, cast in a plaster, then scan the plaster with the Einscan SP 3D scanner. We wanted to expand our capabilities by directly scanning the patient's face and purchased the Calibry Mini 3D scanner as another lab had good results with the same device. I've been using this for about 3 weeks and it has worked without problems. We scan the affected part of the patient's face, then post-process the scan inside of the Calibry Nest software and export it to Blender and Meshmixer to create a custom prosthetic.

Purchased our unit in December 2020 in addition to the Artec Space Spider that we already own. We were looking to expand our capacity as the Spider was in heavy use, but wanted a more budget solution as the new scanner would be used by interns and if they would accidentally drop it, that would be a high price to pay.
