The brake shields for 1995-1997 F350 4x4s are specific to this application. They are not interchangeable with the F250 Dana 50IFS front brake shields. Tech Note 2: Before Installing Before installing your new Brake Shields, apply a thin film of S9975 or S81343 Anti-Seize Lubricant to the part of the shield that will be sandwiched between the steering knuckle and wheel hub. Doing so will minimize corrosion between the three components. Tech Note 3: When Installing The primary function of a disc brake shield is to protect the rotors from road splash. The secondary function is to provide adequate air flow for cooling the rotors. Although the left and right shields look similar, they are not interchangeable as the air venting is different for the two sides. Tech Note 4: When To Replace Replace any brake shield that is cracked or badly rusted.
