Tech Note 1: Safety NoteStock Elastic Stop Spindle Nuts and Lock Wedges used on 1994-2002 Dodge Ram Dana 60, Dana 70, and 80 rear axles are designed to be installed once and only once! For safety reasons, you must discard both the Nut and Wedge if they are removed from the spindle for any reason. Both parts lose a percentage of their resistance of coming off when they are removed. You may hear of cases where this type of factory nut has come off while the truck was being driven. Invariably, these failures involve nuts and wedges that have been reused or improperly installed. NEVER REUSE FACTORY ELASTIC STOP SPINDLE NUTS and LOCK WEDGES!!!!!
