Tech Note 2: Adjustable Depth vs. Fixed Depth InstallersWe make two types of Seal Installers - Adjustable Depth and Fixed Depth. The adjustable depth seal installers allow you to offset the seal to a deeper depth to miss a wear groove or other damage on the axle shaft. You MUST be careful you do not set the seal TOO DEEP which may place the seal beyond the axle shaft seal surface! The fixed depth seal installers will firmly stop at a preset depth. Use fixed depth installers if you want quick, fool-proof seal installation.
Tech Note 3: Use OEM Design SealsDue to the way we have to make the Tools, your Seal Installer and Seal MUST match. Our seal installers will only work with original equipment design manufactured seals.
