After one week,at least a quarter of the gold has come off of every single one of these. They're good looking when you first get them, but don't hold up to repeated use.

Gold stars are a never-fail "feel-good" item. These don't make such good fiddlers because they aren't particulary squishy. They do make excellent mini-reward items that encourage participation and retention of classroom instruction. The big bag of gold stars is a good value.

We are using this item as a reward and acknowledgment, for our training courses. It is a useful and easy to present item. The gold star is not too gimmicky for an adult course.

I used these as prizes in a couple of recent writing workshops. The stars created a real buzz as soon as I pulled them out of my prize bag. Participants loved getting them, and I enjoyed handing them out.

Used it for workshop of young scientists --- they are used to getting all the gold stars for past educational achievements -- this one they would have to earn. Also used a military theme -- just like a military general/admiral, each one of them would take command of her or his own life/career path.
