Stretchy string is so much fun -- you can pull it, twirl it, squeeze it, tie it in knots. Each string is 12" long but streeeeeeeetches out to 10 FEET in length! Feels great in your hands -- soft elastic and not sticky. No latex. If you put this in the dishwasher, you may need to add a little talc after it's washed so it doesn't feel sticky. Then it will be good as new!Great neon colors: magenta, orange, green, and blue. Packed randomly. Enrich the "sensory diet" of your learners. Our "fiddles" may look like toys to the untrained eye, but they are truly serious learning tools. Kinesthetic learners will focus better and absorb your material more quickly if they have something to do with their hands. In my training classes, participants always go for this toy first. Although it is flexible and fun, be prepared to wash it frequently as it picks up everything. It didn't become sticky until washed. So just be warned that after you wash it, it will pick up dust, etc.

I used these to put at tables at a seminar about tension. When I opened the box, the smell was overwhelming. They also had a chalky residue on them. I hated to not use them since I had spent money on them, but in order for me to use them, I had to take them home, wash all 200 in hot soapy water. That helped and we did have fun with them. I also thought they would be thinner - better to illustrate my "tension" idea. REally the worst part was the smell.

I have a basket of "focus tools" for my students to use during instruction time.Very popular in my room, but gets dirty very quickly. Can be washed with soap and water. It also leaves a greasy spot on paper if left sitting for very long.

My children, students, and I like this product. It feels nice in your hands and fingers and it can be manipulated many ways. However, if you allow a hyper child or any child to swing it around, and they will, someone will get hurt with it. I recommend only purchasing it for people who will use it properly.
