As a non-L&D professional, but slowly stepping into the area, the CPTM was the perfect way to learn and understand the complexity of the industry, but also to receive the knowledge and toolset that support the function of a training manager. A toolset built from industry experience, reflecting and helping to solve real challenges. I participated in the virtual practicum, which was smoothly delivered by an industry professional, with years of experience, and with great facilitator skills. Joined the session to meet about a dozen of peers with different roles in the industry, sharing their own experience and working as real teams on real cases. The CPTM program has provided me not only the tools but the confidence to drive my professional growth as a training manager, and delivered my company with positive results, increasing the awareness on properly design and business aligned training programs. Additionally I have become part of a community of professionals that share and support each other's growth!

I am new to the Training Industry, and am the first ever corporate trainer for my company. I had a hard time finding a course that would benefit me being so new. This course was awesome, as I was able to engage with learning leaders, some with 20+ years of training experience and also learn basic and expert techniques when training my teams. This is a great tool, and I highly recommend!

As a life long learner, I have attended many different types of certification programs throughout my career. I've experienced good, bad and ugly live sessions and mostly bad and ugly virtual sessions. Two years ago I did a self-pace online program with Cornell University and was skeptical this virtual workshop would be similar. Since the material was worth diving into, I signed up. Turns out this was the best, by far, certification program I have ever attended! The tools and skills I was given are easy to use and allow me to streamline my processes in a deliberate and strategic way. Dan Menden's approach to virtual facilitation was on the top of the list of what I learned. As we transition into a Hybrid model from everyone in the office space, I was concerned about how to make the transition with technology for the remote folks. Dan had a lot of tricks to keep us engaged and I have already started using his techniques to better my own facilitation skills. I'd actually love to do a virtual facilitation training with Dan!

For anyone who is in the L&D space and is working in the instruction design / individual contributor type roles, I highly recommend you taking this certification because it will provide you the breadth of knowledge about the business of L&D, and L&D as a management function in an organization. In my current role, as a Learning consultant for a global company, I know that my peers are listening when I share because I have learned to connect the dots to the bigger picture and make informed decisions and I would give credit to CPTM. The community of CPTMs is excellent. The frequent roundtable events keep me continuously in touch with what my peers are up to in their roles. I like the content that I can access from the training industry because it is curated towards the Management and Strategic functions of L&D and not just development and designing. That is something I love. This is a game-changer if you want to begin thinking about L&D as a strategy.

I went in to this program quite nervous because I chose to do the e-learning a few months prior to the Practicum. I reached out to the instructor who reassured me that I would not have any issues successfully passing the course. It was great to acquire a better understanding of what I am doing and why I am doing it. The functionality of the program was very user friendly. I look forward to really applying this new knowledge in my current role or any future roles that may come along.

I wasn't sure what to expect. At first I was a little overwhelmed at the pre-worked. But as soon as I started I found the information to be so efficient. Every section was incredibly valuable. I continue to reference it often. The in-person portion was incredibly beneficial. Real world practice and discussion really helped deepen the understanding. I learned so much from the others in the group, who generously shared their experience. In my option, this is the absolute best resource for those in training and employee development leadership. It is worth the investment!

This course is such a great experience. This course provides great education on the fundamentals of L&D models and processes, and it helps to build core L&D relationships with other L&D professionals. The competencies and real life discussions were greatly valuable! It is so nice to have this profession be recognized in a way that further education is provided, and recognized by other professionals.
