“Durians arrived in good condition. One large and two smaller ones. Large one was already cracked, almost over ripe and very creamy. Ready to eat that day. Other two opened 2 days later. Very delicious. Highly satisfying taste and experience while opening each section.”

“Really delicious fruit, sweet, savory, creamy, umami. All arrived quite fresh and also ready to eat. They keep well in the refrigerator, even after opening and eating some. Nice to find/receive fresh durian in the states, usually the ones found in markets have been frozen. Highly recommend this fruit to anyone, even if only to give it a taste. But don’t give up on it after one taste, you have to give it a chance to kinda grow on you. Some say the more you eat, the more of it you want to eat. The flavors are complex. Different from anything else most people have eaten. They are very filling to eat, you could pretty much make a meal of it. They’re pretty high in calories, fats, carbs and fiber. They look daunting to open but it’s not that difficult, just be aware of the spikes and hold lightly and accordingly. Using a serrated bread knife worked best to saw back and forth through and along the thick outer skin. If you look over the outside of the fruit, you can kind of see where the segments of the fruit inside are located, so as to cut around the slightly protruding areas. Happy to have been shopping for fruit right when the in-stock email notification for durian was sent.”
