“Perfect young drinking coconuts. Chock-full of coconut water. Really refreshing to drink and about half of them had some young coconut meat in them to eat as well. Must be careful opening them; a knife isn’t really very practical, doesn’t work well and can be a bit dangerous. If you’re skilled with a machete like they use to open coconuts in the tropics you can try that, just watch your fingers. What worked best for me was a hammer and flathead screwdriver, you position the point of the flathead of the screwdriver at an angle onto the side of the top shaved away part of the coconut and hit the head of the screwdriver with the hammer, takes a few hits, to make a hole you can fit a straw into and you can also keep going in a line around it, making holes until you can crack open the top of the coconut to access the coconut meat inside and scoop it out with a spoon. Highly recommend these. Great quality young coconuts.”
