“My experience with Macy started out very well. There were five steps in the process and Macy was extremely helpful and accessible during that period. She answered all my questions and eased my anxieties. I give her credit for the ground work. My greatest disappointment came on the day of closing. On October 18, 2024, the day of closing, at about 8:15 a.m., I called the title company to find out if they had received my wire transfer and if my closing appointment was confirmed. The Branch Manager, Ms. Gomez, informed me that there was hiccup and she was working with Macy to get it resolved with Macy. I called back about 11:00 a.m. to find out if I had the green light. She asked me if I spoke to Macy and I told her no. She explained to me that the property tax was not included with my final numbers which was going to increase the amount that I would bring to closing. Upon hearing that, I called Macy but she didn't answer. I called my Realtor and asked her what was going on and she explained to me that the Title company told her there was an issue with the property tax and that Macy was going to explain to me. My closing was scheduled for 2.30 p.m. At 1:58 p.m. Jill texted me and asked me if I had talked to Macy for the day. She wrote " there has been a change to the closing costs so wanted to to check to see if Macy has had a chance to speak with you about it yet" My response was no. At this time I was confused and not sure, If I should head to my appointment or not. I called Macy again but she didn't respond. At 3:02pm, I texted Jill, " Hello Jill, May you have Macy let me know what is going on? I am in the dark about the details of the changes?" Jill responded at 3:03 p.m. , " She should be calling you shortly."
I asked my realtor if I should head to my appointment and she said, " absolutely". I went to the Title office and it was there that I received a better understanding of the issue.
Closing day was supposed to be a very special day to me. I anticipated receiving my key and having a celebration at the home with family and friends that had gathered. As it was weekend, I had scheduled work to be done on the home.
It is now 4 days later and I have not heard one word from Macy about Friday's development. The craziest part of this ordeal, is that I gave TruView Lending all my bank statements. Macy knew what my numbers were. In the end, the closing costs were above my savings and I had to borrow money to cover the property taxes.
I am grateful that Innow have my keys, but without my realtor and title company, it would have been a disaster. It was my first time closing and It has just left a bad taste in my mouth about TruView Lending.”

I mentioned that when I reached out to Macy. She worked with my busy schedule and we sailed to closing. She was professional, sweet and really cared that I reached my end goal. Once the process was finished, she turned the process over to a team of professionals who worked hard to complete the job. We are very happy with our new home. Thank you.”
