Hi Paul, Thanks for your feedback - its comments like these that we look for so we can improve on the products and services we offer. This kit is aimed at individuals that are looking for a full tool kit that is ideal to begin working in the world of carpentry and joinery. With this in mind, we've selected tools that do the job but at an affordable price - allowing the user to experiment with the tools and see if the hobby/profession is for them. We've sold hundreds of these kits and only ever received positive comments, however, we will be looking into the tape measure to see if a suitable replacement can be found. Please bear in mind that a more 'professional-grade' tape measure can be upwards of half the price of this entire kit, so we would appreciate suitable expectations when purchasing. If you aren't happy with the tools you've received, and you would like to swap it out for something else, please post the tape measure back to us (following our T&C's) and we'll be in touch to discuss an alternative.
