I originally bought this because for my 2017 civic si I bought a type r shift knob. with the type r shift knob, the original boot collar didn't flow well with the type r knob and It bulged out and also was loose. with this upgrade, it now is flush with the knob as it has two sides that match different knobs and it also isn't loose anymore so I'm satisfied and I would recommend it for anyone getting aftermarket shift knobs”
