“Purchased the 2x2 Work Bike 3.1k for our ranch in the, very rugged, Texas Hill Country and couldn’t be more happy with its performance and build quality. It’s a literal mountain goat and makes rocky climbs with ease. With suggested adjustments of the suspension absorbs the bike eats whatever terrain it comes across.
The build quality is impressive and to date we haven’t experienced and rattles or breakage.
First time riders, or those like myself who haven’t ridden in years, will definitely need some ‘practice’ time as having both wheels spinning takes a little use to get comfortable with how to handle the bike on various surfaces and terrain.
Make no mistake about it, you are riding a motorcycle, and not a ‘bike.’ But, call it whatever you want, it’s a workhorse, and a blast to ride!”
“Sturdy and powerful. I wish it had better control for slow speed under load (going uphill) . A WORK bike shouldn't always have to take a fast run uphill - though it IS FUN.”
“I had many other electric dirt bikes with more powerful specs when my UBCO arrived. I sold them all. The UBCO is the most capable, can go over the most difficult and steepest terrain, the most fun, and the best you can buy.”
“Awesome little motorcycle that will not disappoint you. My first electric motorcycle. Bought as a trail maintenance motorcycle to carry small tools like small chainsaws or loppers. Have only logged 8 hours so far, but all as an off road motorcycle, riding trails where I typically ride my Beta Xtrainer enduro motorcycle. 58 years old, and 135 lbs. Not getting younger, stronger, or faster. No mountian bike riding. Not many options for a 2WD motorcycle. Some things only the Rokon can do, like deep water, and not worrying about breaking spokes in nasty, no-trail terrain littered with branches. But, it seems expensive for what it is, and it is archaic. I replaced my Rokon Trailbreaker with the UBCO work bike. The Christini is a big, fast, full sized machine. And, like the Rokon, expensive. I have not owned or ridden one. The Ural is a whole other category not applicable here. UBCO strengths are the 2WD, all electric, and very light for an off road motorcycle. I only really need 3 hours of run time and no more than 30 miles during a ride. I'll have to train myself to use the horn because I've never used horns on off road motorcycles, and the UBCO is nearly silent. UBCO weaknesses are the 10.5 inches of ground clearance, which makes it always bottom the frame on nearly all log crossings. But, I sure like the low center of gravity. The front and rear suspension is archaic for off road motorcycle riders used to modern off road motorcycles. The 17 inch rims and narrow tires make it feel "unstable" compared to full sized off road motorcycles. The water ford limit of the axle height is a bummer if you ride in water all the time like I do. But, was the UBCO designed for routine log crossings and enduro riding? Nope. It is not meant to compete with all the current ebikes (Surron/Talaria/Beta Explorer - RFN Apollo/Electric Motion Escape/Rawrr/Arctic Leopard). Excellent customer service, and fast shipping. Three cheers for Oregon (I'm from Oregon originally) corporate headquarters! UBCO is a high quality, innovative, fun little trail maintenance motorcycle, and for me, perfect.”
