“Nice price for a lightning arrester, when you consider what they charge for one for Amateur Radio, and especially commercial, installs. No, this will not take a direct lightning strike. Very little, if anything, will. What this will do is take the spike from a very close lightning strike, and protect your associated equipment by taking a lot of that spike to ground. Also, it's nice that the arc plugs are replaceable. Not something that you see usually with the lightning arrester at this price range. So, if you get a lot of close lightning strikes, where you live, then this is a no-brainer protection to get.”
