“I completely agree with Kevin’s assessment on this amplifier. It’s one of the finest sounding amplifiers being currently produced. Compared to the earlier Primaluna gear it’s is much more transparent. Especially at the frequency extremes. When tube rolling you can really hear and appreciate the differences in brands in types of power tubes as well as a small signal tubes- compared to the earlier Primaluna gear. For myself, the benchmark for 40-50 wpc tube amps has always been a Harman Kardon Citation V. To be fair, I’m talking about one that has been restored and rationally upgraded to modern methods /materials. In my opinion, the EVO 300 is much clearer, and overall superior sounding top to bottom. And certainly more versatile, and a breeze to use. No fiddling required! And it’s not 70+ years old! That’s some pretty lofty competition if you have ever had the pleasure of listening to an originally designed one or a recently restored Citation V. The Evo 300 will change the way you enjoy music. In a mind blowing way. Just like the Citation V’s did decades ago! Yep. The Evo 300 is that good!!”
