Used two of each to re-tube my Blue Circle BC3000mk2 with GzPz outboard power supply when it needed servicing and re-tubing. You can't go wrong with either tube and they match stunningly with the preamp. I appreciate that they test and rate the tubes and I also liked the option of getting cryo treatment on two of them. It is worth a little more to have the confidence that there are no counterfeit or poorly performing tubes from Upscale Audio.

I use a combination of 6DJ8, 12AX7 and 12AU7 types in my CAT SL1 preamp. I have found that the 7308s are detailed but natural sounding. They present vocals about as close to real as can be hoped for. They create a good synergy when used in combination with Amperex 6922s which do not get to the deepest bass but are a bit more open and punchy than the 7308s.

I bought a single tube for my Peachtree Audio Nova Pre. I retubed a Cary amp before with Kevin and was pleasantly shocked then, but I did not expect a whole lot with the Nova given the architecture. But wow, even with the tube out of the circuit it made a huge improvement in imaging and the overall presentation. Highly recommended

Lush, might be the best way to describe these tubes. They really made my phono unit sound sweet, and that's the way vinyl is supposed to sound!

Noticed an imediate improvement over OEM tube in soundstage depth and width. This improvement is apparent even when the tube is not switched on. According to Peachtree Tech: "the tube's input (grid) is being fed signal all of the time, which also means it can influence the signal to some degree..." A nice $50 upgrade and recommended.

Purchased an iDecco to run an office system, provide a nicer DAC for my iPod, act as an improved DAC for an older CD player..and it did, and does all that well. But, with the stock buffer tube it's difficult to hear much difference with the tube switched in or out--the sound is mid-fi, at best. Add this tube to an iDecco though...wow. Yeah, it's just a buffer tube, shouldn't make much difference...but it does. Warmer, richer bass with great mids and smoother highs in a noticeably bigger soundstage. May just be my room and my speakers, but even non-audioholics can hear the difference when the Amperex is switched in and out and all, so far, comment positively on the difference...so it's not just me wishing to hear a difference since I'd dropped the coin on the Amperex. Highly recommended upgrade for a nice piece of kit.

Purchased a pair of platinum grade versions of this tube to replace a pair of 'worn out' Mullard ECC88(s) into my PSE hybrid line stage preamp. Initially my opinion was that these babies were slightly light in the bass region. Called Kevin and he stated that actually bass performance was one of the hallmarks of the Amperex line. I allowed the preamp to stay on overnight and relistened the next day with various music sources and concluded that the bass was in fact well represented but much tighter, lower and defined with better resolution!! The passing days have only reaffirmed this observation so I have to now proclaim "Kevin rocks and was right on point with his knowledge of tube characteristics!!!!
