“To be honest, I normally do not spend this much on cables. I believe in good quality cables but normally keep that budget under 100 for a set. I have a small set up in my office using a Prima amp, Wadia DAC/Streamer Digital, Focal bookshelf speakers, my old AR turntable for the Analog and an older Denon 2900 for CD's that is run through the Wadia DAC. The system sounded fantastic with incredible clarity and staging, but I had a hodgepodge of different interconnects, power supply and cables. I decided to splurge on the Nordost Angels cables to replace all my interconnects and a unified standard for power cables with an Isotex power conditioner. The idea of being the sum is stronger with the whole of its parts staying consistent at a high level. Long story short it worked. The fantastic system is now deeper, brighter and really disapears. I can hear the Spanish guitar right in front of me, or all the slight reflections in Adele's vocals as if she's sitting right in front of me. Not bad for a system built into a bookshelf and a crappy room for sound. I think the key with cables is to be consistent with all the parts and a power conditioner is a must with solid performing power cables. If you just buy one here or one there and expect a big change you'll probably be disappointed. These are amazing interconnects and really helped to deliver the cleanest sound my system is capable of producing.
