“I’ll say first that the PrimaLuna EVO 400 Preamp is fantastic. It’s been fun rolling some tubes through it to see what sounds best. Which takes me to the tubes. These Brimars are fantastic. I put them in the front two positions and replaced a couple of GE military 12AU7’s (I was running four GE’s up front with a pair of Mullard 12AU7’s in the rear). I really liked the GE’s, but the Brimars are in a different league altogether. What I noticed first was that the soundstage opened up, the artists were right in front of me, and there was more air and separation without any harsh or bright sound. I also discovered that I didn’t need to turn up the volume as much to hear the great warmth and detail that I wanted. So now I have the Brimars in the front, a pair of GE’s next to them, and a pair of Mullard 12AU7’s in the rear. I am using Mullard 5AR4 rectifiers as well. It’s a great combination, and I think I’ve found my tubular happy place. Highly recommended! Get them while you can…”

“I replaced an Amperex D-getter 12AU7 with the Brimar CV4003 / CJ test Grade / Cryo. This tube is being used in a Vincent PHO-701 phono pre-amp. The Amperex I was using previously has a nice warm sound, but not very holographic. I wasn't sure if I would notice much difference, but the Brimar really blew the Amperex away in sound quality. The Brimar is Very Holographic with a Rich sound. I am very impressed and it made a big difference in my system. Kevin is absolutely right and these tubes are the bomb! I am going to order a couple more to have on hand.”

“I cannot say enough positives about these tubes. I have a Primaluna Dialog Premium Integrated and put two of these into the gain sockets and am wowed by the difference. Each instrument stands out with incredible clarity. This is the best upgrade decision I have ever made.”

“I have listened happily to my Prima Luna Dialogue Premium HP for the past two years using to supplied PL tubes (EL 34 and 12au7). I took a shot with these tubes in the driver spaces. What a difference! So much better separation of instruments and lots more air. I listen to Classical and Jazz, so all acoustic instruments recorded mostly in actual performance spaces. These tubes really make a difference. Speakers are Focal 728be's not known for their smooth high frequencies, but the Brimars extend the highs without a shred of harshness.”
