This is my first time tube rolling, and WOW, I am a convert. I own a PrimaLuna Dialogue HP Integrated amp, and on the wonderful advice of Josh at Upscale, I placed a couple of these beauties in the gain positions after one of my stock 12AU7s started to go. WOW! I had no idea what a difference the Gain Tubes make. Day by day, the Brimars are completely blowing me away. There's so much air in the music now- the sense of space is tremendously enhanced. I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend these Brimars to anyone even looking to see what a tube swap can mean for your whole sound. After hearing these, I agree with Kevin that it's almost as good as having the back of your neck stroked.

Really smoothed out the top end of my Evo 400 amp / Tannoy Kensington speakers. Highly recommend!

In my project tube box ds2 they are give a much fuller, warmer, and inviting sound compared to the stock tubes. I've had an issue with things being a little on the bright side and these have cleared up that issue. Get them while you can!

Amazing little tube. They helped turn the musicality of my Primaluna EVO 300 up to 11.

These are wonderful tubes. I put two in the gain section in my Primaluna EVO 300 integrated amp aIong with the four EL43b as replacement to the stock Primaluna EL34. In this combination, it gives me the details and wider soundstage I was missing. Bass is still very much present but not overly so. My favorite female jazz singers sound as if they are performing live.

OK. There IS such a thing as “instant gratification”. I rolled in the Brimar CV 4003s in the 12AU7 sockets of my Yaqin M13S, replacing the new reissue Mullards. Left the new reissue Mullard 12AX7 and the EH6CA7s in. Let it warm up about an hour. Popped in a Tommy Flanagan CD known for some harsh upper mid transients, particularly in the acoustic piano, and some weak acoustic bass. Wouldn’t ya know it....the harshness in the upper mids and low highs smoothed out, and the bass really presented itself. Not perfect, but these tubes have only been in my amp for a short time. Showing some real promise here. Left the amp on to let the tubes cook a little more, and went on a piano tuning job. Just popped in k.d.lang “Ingenue”, a disc that I would always bring to the audio store back in the day to audition components. The amp has been running around four hours and I gotta say....it sounds like a different system. Smooth and listenable even a higher volumes. A very nice improvement. And on Clark Terry “Portraits” CD, the already wide soundstage expanded even further. And...it should sound even better after these Brimars burn in. Wowee. I’m happy with my choice. And the reviews here helped a lot and justified my move. Fantastic!
