“Superb. Not a hint of poorly executed "tubey" coloration or bloat, the sound is neutral, balanced, with very detailed instrumental & vocal textures. High end is sweet and begs turning up the volume; low end is musical and very potent, e.g. stand up bass, kick drum, symphonic bass drum will blow your hair back if the rest of your system and the recording allow, yet stays realistic and musical. Mids are natural without any coloration I can detect. I'm pretty sure this will be my phono stage for life.”

“I couldn't be happier with my Manley Chinook. Compared to my very old Krell, the Chinook is more dynamic and detailed. The soundstage is much wider and deeper. The highs now have a wonderful shimmer and the lows go lower. Records that I used to think were dull and compressed now have new life. My complaints about the Chinook are all very minor. The screws that hold on the top are too tiny for my big fat fingers, the on/off button feels a little cheap, and the warm-up time is a bit of a pain. Otherwise, the Chinook is a 10 out of 10.”
