“My son, soon to be 30 years old, grew up in a digital world. When he was 10 years old I asked him to go to the basement to get the item that was on the shelf next to the turntable. He disappeared for a few minutes, came back and hollered up the steps: “Hey Dad what’s a turntable?” He came over to compare his Hi-Rez downloads to my old ‘Antiquated‘ pressings. He was shocked to hear the organic presentation presented from those Records through the Manley chinook. The phono preamp that it replaced could not reproduce the spaciousness, depth, the transient response, or the space around the instruments, like the Manley. Voices through the Manley sounded live. My sons opinion of vinyl changed. My listening sessions grew longer and more frequent. The only problem I have is that I now have the upgrade bug, and VPI dreams. I will soon be donating that MH turntable with the Project 9cc arm and 2m black to my son.”

“After owning numerous phonostages from Audio Research, Project, Clearaudio and Graham Slee I can honestly say the Manley Chinook SE MK2 is clearly the performance winner. The unit is dead quiet, sounds dynamic while remaining neutral, resulting in a very palpable 3 dimensional soundstage . It's extended bandwidth not only provides a solid bass but also provides an extended high frequency response revealing details never heard before with the other competitors units. Excellent build quality and a great warranty. Bravo- well done Manley Labs!”
