“i have just got around to changing the stock valve in my rode ntk microphone to a cifte 12au7, there is a noticable difference in the sound when you compare the previous valve to the cifte, both recorded with the same pre and settings, it does'nt seem to have lost any warmth & yet it seems more articulate than before, seem easier to get the vocals to sit in the mix, i'm hoping once the cifte gets some good burn time the result will be even better. i'm very happy & THANKS FOR THE GREAT SERVICE CHEERS.”

“I purchased the Mazda's for my VTL 2.5 Preamp. I knew these had a good reputation for sonic quality but it was the Upscale Audio product description of being "kind of like a really cute 19 year old girl giggling 'cause she drank a few glasses of champagne" that made me pull the trigger. And I am glad I did! The description is perfect. These 12AU7's have a wonderful effervescent sparkle that is in fact like a giggle. Really a nice. Great dimensionality and clarity. Since I installed the Mazda's I find the music grabbing my attention even in the midst of a loud party. I know every component will make a difference but with the VTL this is a tube that goes A+ category.”

“I'd been well pleased with the Mullards in my Unison Unico SE hybrid integrated until I replaced my loudspeakers with warm-presenting Ushers Mini Dancer 2 DMD's. Rolling in these Mazda/Ciftes reduced the midrange bloom and provided a more analytic balance from the system.”

“Using these in a PrimaLuna ProLogue Premium preamp. I thought that it could not get any better as the PrimaLuna is flat down to 8hz and has great top-end too. But the tubes are the heart and soul and every time I upgrade them in any product I have owned it was worthwhile. This tube has fantastic color and texture. The top end is even more extended but not bright in any way. Given that a current production selected tube can cost almost as much as these sell for I feel this was a bargain!! I love them and they seem to be improving as time goes on. Oh..and the boxes. Look at the attention to detail. The writing and knowing they were made in 1962 is so cool. It was like opening a treasure chest.”
