Just purchased this amp after stalking it for almost 2 years and learning the Dialogue Premiums are discontinued. After this thing warms up, what comes out of it is nothing short of amazing sound, and we're just getting started with tube break-in, system set-up, speaker placement, different cables, and source upgrades. Very happy with the purchase so far...

I'll be gentle and not mention any brand names, only initials. Feel free to make your own assumptions. I've been running a tube amp from B C for almost two years now, and have been very happy with it, so much so that I thought I was done shopping for new equipment. Then, I just happened to stumble across Kevin's video discussing the merits of the PrimLuna DiaLogue Premium Power Amplifier. Glowing reviews aside, I was particularly interested in the use of above-average components in the circuitry, and the overall build quality. The B C is a great amp, but nowhere near the build quality of the PrimaLuna. It also had more output than the PrimaLuna, but with the efficiency of my Klipsch Cornwall 3's, that's not a valid deciding factor. I was also drawn to the PrimaLuna because of the switchable ultralinear-triode modes, the wide range of viable output tubes and the ease that the auto bias system lends to using them, and the peace of mind afforded by the BTI and PTP protection circuits. I decided to take the plunge and order one, and I'm happy to say there is no buyer's remorse. I will admit that I never even tried it with the EL34 tubes it came with, but switched them out with a brand new set of KT120s I had on hand as backups for the B C. I like my bass, and the KT120 delivers. Although there was no mind-boggling difference sound-wise between the two amps, there was a difference and one that I prefer. I ran the PrimaLuna for about 12 hours in ultralinear and was impressed, but then it started getting a little harsh, though not annoyingly so. I switched to triode and it settled right down and that's where It's been ever since. I am also using the 4 ohm speaker taps. I'm nowhere near as elegant as Art Dudley, so I won't go overboard with sound analysis. From my perspective, the sound is more spacious and pleasing and renders better bass than the B C. The mids are slightly warmer with vocals both male and female being more prominent yet neutral, and the highs are crisp without being annoying. It's just a very pleasing amp to listen to, and much to my surprise, it made my system even better. Maybe I really am done this time!

The best damned amp ever. Period. Ok it’s really good and very well made. Top notch. Sound quality is superb. So good I bought another and made dual mono blocks. There is nothing better than Primaluna.
