“What a great tube! Using these in a homebrew ultra-linear Acrosound amp. I got tired of trying to find really good-sounding EL34s. These are an excellent substitute--sonically a bit of a cross between a 6L6 and an EL34. Big, open soundstage bit not flat or dry. Excellent bass and a lively midrange.”

“I've been using a set of these tubes in my Primaluna prologue 2 for almost three years now. I've owned this amplifier for 15 years, so I've used a variety of different power tubes over time and these are some of my favorites. Make sure that you purchase them here, from Upscale so you know you're getting the best tubes available from the factory. They are also a bargain, highly recommended!”

“This has quickly become my favorite power tube. It has the warmth of the EL34 without subdued bass and treble. No highlighted frequencies with this power tube, just a wide open sound stage giving you everything that the artist recorded. Enjoy!”

“This quad of matched 6CA7EH brought out a sophisticated, articulate sound in my ST-70. It sounds it's best ever in the 12 years I have used it. Upscale is my new go to for tubes. The good people at Upscale did a lot of things right to help bring about this fine result. If you enjoy the details. here they are: The packing was done in a generously sized box allowing for plenty of highly energy absorbent material, not paper like all the other current manufacture tube sellers I have tried. This preserved the critical internal clearances, thus preserving the excellent matching these had when leaving Upscale. I noticed the date codes on these tubes matched, a first in my current manufacture retail tube buying experience. Back when I was an NOS tube seller I noticed same date/same plant often made for lots of great matches. I measured the Ip matching of this quad in my equipment and found it superb. When I measured the Gm matching it was so close I did not detect difference from one tube to another. These tubes check all the boxes and hit all the right notes because of attention to the details at Upscale. Thanks Dave!”
