“The gold tips don’t cost that much more vs non. So why not? The higher ARC grade is also not that much more than a less precise pair re possible unwanted harmonics, so again why not? The fact that Upscale actually tests these tubes is again a “why not give them patronage”. Upscale prices don’t really reflect the cost of them testing them. Certainly not the associated labor costs. So at the end of the day…. It’s a no brainer, buy your tubes of what ever quality you prefer & buy them from Upscale Audio.”

“The only place I know of that grades their tubes for audio. As a result, I know exactly what I am getting not; let's purchase 10 tubes and see which one works the best kind of hit-and-miss game that probably does not work.”
