“Five stars for great service & fast delivery. Really, a review of tubes should occur after burn-in and again after a good year or so of use. These power tubes are a terrific value - if they continue to burn-in as they have so far. Initial sound was surprisingly good, and now after around 80 hours, they are opening-up nicely. Let's hope these pretty tubes are also durable - only time will tell...”

“I have been buying tubes from Upscale for 20 years or better. After the purchase of a demo Zesto Eros 300that has tubes that I could not account for, I decided to re-tube. To preserve the Eros's voicing, I really wanted JJ KT88's. A tube that alters these amps to be warm sounding makes the bass out of my speakers too tubby, so I wished to preserve the light on feet sound I get out of the Zestos’. The JJ’s I found online were overpriced and had questionable quality. So, I decided to look for an alternative. Got to say, I am loving what these tubes give the Eros. Not only do they turn out to be cost effective. I found them to be a marvelous sounding alternative for Zesto amps. The mid-range is richer and fuller, than the JJ’s. The sound of the amps remains accurate. No bloat or syrupiness, the bass is tight, clean, and fast. These tubes give the Eros precise and natural sound. The only caveat is, you will hear hardness in the mids and treble when you first fire them up. After 70 hours a lot this goes away, past 150 they really start to open up, so give them time to develop their full potential. When it’s time, I highly recommend rolling to these. They have the same accuracy, yet a fuller mid-range that is less clinical. In short, they make, what is a very natural sounding amplifier. Sounding even more natural.”

“These tubes have been very nice now that they are broken in. It was a big change from the EL-34's I was using but the KT-88's bring an interesting new tone to my system.”

“I'm using these in a pair of Quicksilver Mid Mono amps with Spica TC60 speakers and these tubes sound great! My last set of these tubes were from another dealer and Kev's tubes sound exponentially better! Incredible dynamics and huge soundstage! I use these amps for home audio and home theater and they work great on both fronts, one of the best deals on the market!”

“I used these to replace el34 in my prima luna amp. Very happy but yes as others have noted they do take a long time to burn in. Be patient. At some point I will see it a set of gold lion kt88 or a set of kt 90 improves things but for now very happy with these over the stock el 34. ,”
