The tubes were shipped out lightning quick and were in great shape when I received them. I immediately installed them on my BAT VK-30 preamp and played a sweep tone for about 4 hours before first listen. My first critical listening - they were a touch bright but oddly under-detailed. As they are breaking in they are becoming more and more smooth and liquid and the resolution is actually improving. Still less than 20 hours on them but I can tell I am going to like them a bunch! I would buy these again for sure - Upscale is a great resource for products and information.

I have used Electro-harmonix 6922 tubes for many years and many amplifiers and often bought from Upscale Audio since they seem to be honest and reliable. This time I tried the cryo-treated tubes to see if there was a difference. Compared to the tubes they replaced (non-cryo Electro-harmonix 6922), there was a little more smoothness and "palpability", but I realize that also could have been the result of simply replacing old tubes. I put the new cryo tubes on my tube tester and noticed that they actually tested worse than my older tubes. They showed initially higher gain, but could not sustain the gain the way that the older tubes could. After a second or so, the gain declined to show the tubes as being "Bad". This might explain why the cryo tubes seemed to have a little less strength in lower frequencies -- an effect that has been cited by other reviewers.

Usually run the same tubes but type 3 rather then type 2, these seem to have a little more high end but not as warm sounding as the type 3. Great Value

Purchased these just about 4 months ago before having noise issues. They did sound good but this was very short lived, I would highly recommend anyone considering purchasing these to avoid them completely. Very disappointed with the lack of quality of these tubes.

I got a pair to replace my Rocket Logo tubes in my X-CANv2 headphone amp. The tubes are slightly larger (diameter) than most 6922 but they fit perfectly. They give a fuller sound. I'm quite happy with them.

Tubes replaced Audible Illusions branded tubes in a 3A pre line stage and beat them hands down.Better all around right out of the box, however ,bass and mids were spectacular after some break-in.

Definately a step up from stock Sovtek tubes which can sound a bit harsh. Like going from a cheap Chianti to a good Merlot. Warm, nice sound and dependable in the Audible Illusions M3A. Especially the phono stage. Quiet. 3 1/2 stars. Recommended!

My review is of the gold pin variety in a Cary SLI-80F1. The upper frequencies sound rather harsh and strained and in general this tube offers a more forward soundstage with less depth as compared to the National 7dj8's.
