“I have an integrated tube amp with these on the pre-amp and a solid state power section. Before, the amp sounded really resonant and unnatural. Swapping these tubes in made it sound so lifelike and natural in my system. Huge fan! I even ordered two extra pairs to have on hand.”

“Great tubes at a great price. Purchased eight matched tubes. Three of the tubes were used in my Counterpoint SA3.1 preamplifier, the other five were used in my Counterpoint SA220 amplifier. Major change in the sound. Very clear with great highs and lows. I should have changed out the old tubes sooner. Thanks again for a great product and great service.”

“Kevin's Stash with Cryo - Recently switched to Tidal and decided to change my DAC.... long story short; changing to this tube in my headphone amp made a palpable difference. Best sound I have ever gotten from my SR325Es. As a note: service and order fulfilment from Upscale has always been awesome. This time was the first buying a tube from, it won't be the last. “Bottom Line: Terrific tube with rounded and extended top end, nice midrange and good low end. The bass isn't the tightest but I would not describe it as sloppy. Easy listening for extended periods without fatigue. No hash and no compression. The best of the NOS (Amperex Holland 6922) are more dimensional with more depth. These EH 6922 gold pin are a solid and viable alternative. Summary: I have a Conrad Johnson LP70S that requires (3) 6922s. These small tubes will make as much, if not potentially more sonic difference, than swapping different 6550 tube brands. That stated, I have spent tons of money on NOS Amperex, Mullard, Valvo, etc. and they have all been great. However, it's an untenable situation since they are getting increasingly hard to find and expensive. I tried the JJ but they sounded flat and lacked dimension. The Gold Lion, which come out of the same factory as the EH, seemed a little sterile; perhaps my imagination. These EH 6922 gold pin are a great sonic NOS substitute for much less money and are readily available; at least 80% of the sonics for less than half the price of NOS. I reserve 5 stars for NOS Amperex Holland 6922s. Those are amazing! These get a solid 4 star rating and will serve as my long term replacement and go-to 6922.”
