“My REL G2 does just fine with music but the 10" woofer isn't designed for Christopher Nolan movies with Hans Zimmer soundtracks, the G1 MkII is. Now I am also discovering music takes on a whole new level of realism, like the reviewer's say "It's not about bass, it's about space." Naturally recorded music is more 3-D than I have ever heard because this sub is -6 dB at 15 Hz. The G2 with the new MkII 10" driver still feels faster but the G1 MkII more than makes up for it with depth and ease, it just doesn't have to work as hard. A nice and affordable upgrade (especially after I sell the REL G2 for $1750).”
