As Kevin has said, a very quite tube. Very neutral sounding with a full and linear frequency response from top to bottom. Best to get a pair of these before they are all gone!

Very impressed with this tube. I purchased 4 in total; 2 for my PL EVO 300 pre-amp and 2 for my PL DiaLogue Premium HP amp. Still getting used to them in the system but overall the change is immediate and noticeable. Particularly in the soundstage. Recommended.

Ive had the JAN's in my Golden Tube Audio SI-50 from the beginning, (21yrs) and those had become a snag microphonic, but i play the hell out of this amp. It was Sweeeet to find freshies and to get back to listening. I had recently had new EL34's put in and the preamp tubes were replaced with JJ's and at about noon to 1 on the volume the JJ's would breakup it wasn',t pretty, this ain't happ'en now. Nice, clean, firm connection and sparkly, almost made a ring setting for them. Anyway, Thank you so much to everyone at Upscale the tubes are working wonderfully!

These tubes are amazingly quiet! Made a huge reduction in the background noise on my Rogue Audio DragoN power amp. They sound fantastic as well. A great bargain.

I took the opportunity for a shoot-out this afternoon, comparing the GE 6189 to the Cifte 12AU7, the Amperex E80CC and of course the stock PL 12AU7, in my Evo300 Integrated with KT120s. Of course the stock tubes are nice sounding gear, but GEs have a depth of bass I didn't know existed. I listen to a wide variety of music from Tweaker, to NIN, to Pelican, but I stuck to the Mobile Fidelity 45RPM pressing of "Miles in the Sky" first track "Stuff". There's plenty of opportunity for the trumpet to go harsh, for the bass to muffle, but the GEs handled the track perfectly. Dead quiet, clean top end and what I can only call a thunderous bass. I'm going to have to come back for a backup pair.

They really do what they are advertised for on site: they are quiet tubes, they sound clean and balanced and in my Primaluna Dialogue HP they are the perfect complement for the Brimar CV4003.

Got these Stash tubes for a pair of McIntosh MC 30s a month ago and by now the highs are warming up very nicely, the big bottom bass is sturdy, clear and actually very detailed even at lower volume. Love to hear the piano key tap up when the finger is lifted. Sweet. Quiet. Attentive. My listening is also warming in with an overall improvement that is most welcome, the instruments are in my living room and the pandemic is less tiresome. Waiting on a quad of GE 6L6GCs to comment on the mids. Also replaced the 12AX7s from Upscale so it's been a good month for listening!! Very happy about the new detail and clarity. Btw, driving 80s-era original Fortes through a CJ PV10AL and the mono blocks. The little Audioengine B1 seems to do the job for this all Tidal all the time listener. Great system for the investment and focus on tubes has been fun and very rewarding. Should add the Acoustic Revive RR777 wave generator which continues to amaze with the soundstage and depth it brings.
