“My preamp’s line stage allows use of 6DJ8 or 12AU7 variants. The 6189 provided a more dynamics, an energetic pace and while I would never classify my CCAs as noisy the 6189 was quieter with a blacker background. Detail was at the same high level. Pleasant surprise.”
