“These were hand selected 6922/6DJ8 tubes intended for use in an ARC SP-10, which can be very fussy about noise and microphonics, and 6922's typically are noisy and/or microphonic. Kevin selected these personally and they absolutely lived up to expectations. Very quiet operation now. Very pleased! My shop has recommended Upscale Audio as a go-to source for vacuum tubes for years now and have never been let down. You guys rock!”

“Rolled these to replace OEM tubes which came with Feliks Echo II. Still in breakin period (about 40 hours). Very clean sounding. Looking for a little more bass as these burn in. Time will tell.”

“Not the first tubes I've ordered from Upscale and won't be the last! I recently added a PS Audio BHK 250 amp to one of my systems and it uses these tubes in the input stage - so I wanted to have a spare set on hand. As usual, my order was shipped promptly, packed very well and arrived quickly. “I bought 2 sets to use with my BHK pre. They caused the Pre to emit a high pitched whine (see frequency spectrum below). To make a long story short, the Pre was returned to PS Audio for warranty repair and they were able to identify that the tube heater circuit was oscillating. The cause was a small variation in the regulators from the semiconductor manufacturer that produces the IC. After I got it back it longer whines with the same Gold Lion tubes. Added bonus, these tubes are much quieter and sounds better to my ears than Psvane 12AU7s.”
