I do like the Gold Lion KT88 Cryo treated valves. Without going on about details, the last purchace Was for Spares. Ive yet to open them. I trust Upscale Audio, and dont feel the need to run the spares for 30 days to "test under warranty". Maybe i should, but im not this time. Thanks Upscale Audio! -Mark

These are so much better sounding than the stock KT88 tubes that came with the amp.

Lovely wonderful sound. A keeper. Took me a while to get there. At first a clangy piano and bloated bass. After many hours including a few overnights improved but still not fully clear or enjoyable. I went to some EL34s I keep for back up for a while and they sounded quite nice. Considering the glowing reviews I wondered if something else was amiss. (My system: EVO 300 Integrated, DH Labs, Cheviot.) It was the small signal tubes! With a set of new GL12AU7s the KT88s sounded very nice although slightly punchier than what I was used to. The bass was slightly exaggerated for my taste, note that I play double bass. However after a few more hours the bass was well balanced. That the KT88s showed a weakness in the year and a half old stock tubes is notable. Perhaps the larger current draw has something to do with this. After realizing the drivers were weak curiosity demanded I revisit tubes on hand. KT66, not as “analytical” as previously thought. Overall very nice. KT77, wonderful! Almost a 3D presentation, especially voices. Easily the most pleasurable to listen to in my system. My reason for trying other varieties is the known reliability problem with the GLKT77s. Of the tubes I have tried so far KT88 is an extremely close second. It is very good and the music is almost as beautiful as the KT77. I listen to mostly classical and also vintage jazz with a little classic rock

Replaced the original kt 88s that came with muzishare x7 and noticed immediate improvement in bass and mids. First foray into tube rolling and will probably swap out preamp tubes as well. Reasonably priced and the confidence of knowing your purchase was well tested is appreciated. Recommend highly

Its been about a month and im impressed with these. Really good sounding and a little more bass than i had from my stock Prima Luna's. I need some more time on them to see what ive got i think. They are very nice looking mo fo's too. Makes me want to replace the front row now!
