“Replacing/rolling from eight EL34's. Equipment: Prima Luna HP. Sonus Faber Sonetto V. VPI Scout w/ O bronze. About 60 hours in, initially was way too bright which was surprising given the Cryo treatment, seems to have softened up a bit. Louder than EL34's. Really nice wider soundstage than 34's. Slightly fuller bass than 34's, pretty good midrange from the jump, highs getting better @50hrs. Maybe better definition? Will continue to break in and evaluate at 100 hours+. Switch back to EL34's and compare.”

“The kt88ts in my primaluna prolog integrated sound warm, revealing with lots of authority. The rest of the system is C&J pv 11 modified (coupling caps, volume control, power cord), Space Tech Lab dac with golden lion kt88. VPI scout 2 with VPI power supply (since without the power supply the turntable runs at the wrong speed as most turntables do), Soundsmith Zephyr high output MC cartridge, speakers are Goldenear R one. I run the Prima Luna mostly through the bypass from the C&J line stage.”
