“I bought four Gold Lion KT88s from Upscale Audio back in August 2022 for my Willsenton R8 integrated amp. Around mid-October I heard some popcorn noise coming out of my left speaker. The KT88 in slot two failed as I couldn’t adjust the bias anymore. I live nearby so I called Upscale to set up an appointment to return the tube (still under warranty). I drove out to Upscale and met with Ken. He asked me to bring all four tubes back in their boxes so they could match the replacement tube. Took 10 minutes to get the new tube and head home. Ken was very helpful through the entire process. I’ve bought a good number of tubes (KT88, Mullard EL34s, 12ax7, 12au7 and 6sn7s) from Upscale among other items. Thanks Uncle Kevin, always great service and products.”

“I purchased this tube to replace a blown one of a quad I got from you a couple yrs ago, maybe 400 hrs of use. Now a different one has failed after being up and running for only 1.5 hrs. So I am now listening to an old set of JJs that continue working fine as I decide what to do next, I like the sound of the Lions, but not sure if I can trust them.”

“Great service. Web site for upscale helpful in making the correct choice. Not an experienced tube person so I needed every bit of information provided. Concur that reviews are key but would not have been looking in the right place without the excellent videos and background information provided. Have gotten many unsolicited comments about how much better my VPI/Cary system sounds. Awesome experience. Now that I have found you I will be back.”

Hi Jim, Thank you so much for your review, and we're glad to have you as a customer! We put a lot of time into our tube testing, and with power tubes we burn them in for 72 hours and test them while hot for the most consistent results.
