“Surprisingly good, even in comparison with Mullards, which are getting too hard and expensive to find. I live these better than the Brimars in my Rogue Sphinx V3. Quiet. Dynamic. Nice mids and highs. Good base. I think I'm done tube rolling for a bit. These are nice.”

“Been running the Gold Lion 12au7's for about 60 hours so far in my PrimaLuna Evo 100 int/amp, and I believe it has improved the overall sound quality some. Don't get me wrong the original PL tubes are fantastic, and I was very pleased with them, but you know how curiosity goes. I've replaced the 12ax7's and 12au7's with Gold Lion platinum/cryo tubes. so far, and if I had to put a percentage on the increase in sound quality it would be about 15%-20%. The Evo 100's sound stage is a little better, and the bass seems a little tighter with the GL's. The way this system works is the more power I put to it the better it sounds, and when other stereos I owned would complain when I really put my foot in it, this PL really shines, and says yeah that's the way I like it. It's astounding!!! I always get great service from Upscale Audio, highly recommended.”

“Tried these in a PL EVO 300 pre, 2 center tubes. Replacing the original PL's. Maybe 50 hours on them now. The highs still sound a little brittle. Though they have gradually improved. Time will tell.”
