“My BHK preamp has developed a pop noise when I change any input. Contacted PS Audio and they suggested replacing the two 12AU7 tubes. I see that Gold Lion tubes are highly rated, sought after tubes and came upon Upscale Audios web site. I watched a YouTube video and was impressed with their tube “philosophy”. So I tried to order 2 12AU7 tubes from Kevin’s stash or platinum grade at either $80 or $90 each. When I went to my cart it stated, “ You can only add 1 Gold Lion ECC82 / B749 / 12AU7 - Kevin's Stash or platinum / No Cryo to the cart”. I contacted them and received a quick response, Hello, we have some limitations on certain tubes depending on how many we have in stock and how soon we can replenish our stock”. I did go back and ask if can order twice to get 2 tubes and if your out of stock when could I expect to be able to order two etc. and am waiting for a reply. I can understand that you might not want to sell one person say 12 tubes when that’s all the stock you have. But you must have some in stock or I wouldn’t be able to order anything. As a customer who would like a matched pair, why would I order one tube and not know when I could get the other? Seems silly to me.”

Hi Mike, Thank you for letting us know about the issue that you had. There was a short time when this tube sold faster than we could test them. We have resolved the problem, and the tubes can be easily ordered.

“Installed these in place of the provided tubes in a Backert Labs Rhumba 1.4 preamp. They giva a small but noticeable improvement in sound enloyment when coupled with my Rogue Stereo 100 "dark" power amp and Vandersteen Treo CT speakers. Trebles are a bit smoother and bass stronger. Very pleased.”

“These replaced a pair of NOS Mullard tubes that had needed replacing. Instead of remortgaging the house for NOS Mullards, I tried these. I love them in my Rogue RP-1. I have about 40 hrs on them and they are open and detailed. All the harsh bright sound disappeared after about 20hrs of break in.”

“I recently purchased 4 Gold Lion ECC82/12AU7 for my Rouge RP-5 Pre Amp. The Amp originally came with JJ tubes and sounded good, after a while I installed 4 NOS RFT tubs which sounded better than the JJ's IMO. After reading about the 4 Gold Lion ECC82/12AU7 it sounded like they would be a better match for my system. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound from Gold Lions! Vocals/Midrange sound better with more depth and the sound stage/imaging is fantastic! These Tubes improved the overall performance of my system and for the first time it sounds like it is at peak capability and performance. Can't wait to the sound once they fully burned in.
